Tutorial 054: Spiral Pendant

 

Level: advanced

 

This lesson shows how to create a magnificent spiral-shaped pendant, glittering with precious stones.

 

Materials for the pendant:

  • 9 feet 28ga round soft wire
  • 15" 20 ga round half-hard wire
  • Approximately 50 metallic seed beads, between 1 and 2.5mm
  • Approximately 5 daisy spacers
  • Approximately 8 4mm round, nugget or teardrop beads in matching colors
  • Approximately 10 6mm round, nugget or teardrop beads in matching colors
  •  

    Note: the number of beads will vary largely according to the size of the pendant. The spiral portion of this pendant measure 1-1/4" wide.

    Variations: Beaded bail and squiggly spiral

    You can also add a bit more chaos to this pattern by making it into a "squiggly" spiral and by adding a woven or beaded bail:
