Back in my coastal hometown in Brasil, people learned RESPECT for the ocean: love it, but beware of its infinite moods. During these times when we see the force of nature and the ocean in disasters such as the Tsunami 2004 or the Katrina Hurricane, it's easy to appreciate why.

I hoped to capture a bit of the randomness and chaotic beauty of the ocean in this cuff, almost totally constructed with aquamarines of various grades. It also includes turquoise beads, sterling silver shells, animals and beads of various sizes -- all woven up together with a whopping 32 feet of 28 ga silver wire. No solder or glue was used to create this piece.

The cuff measures 1 1/3" wide (3.5cm) and fits 6 to 6 1/2" wrists.
