Tutorial 018: Garnet & Silver Spiral Pendant

 

Level: intermediate

 

This pendant is ULTRA ornate and reminds me of the Bali pendants I love so much. Use different colored beads for spectacular variations!

 

Materials for the pendant:

7 inches 18 ga wire (soft or half hard)
3 feet 28 ga wire (soft)
23 3 to 4mm round garnets
23 1mm metallic seed beads
48 2mm metallic or contrastic color round beads
9 6mm saucer or flower shaped spacers
9 2mm round garnets
1 8mm flat garnet pendant or coin bead.

 

Note 1: quantities may vary slightly. 

 

Note 2: you will need a metallic chasing hammer and an anvil or metallic surface.
